The yoga retreat will run from Monday 22nd Feb to Sunday 28th, 2021. All levels welcome. Not for complete beginners.
Cost : £360.
Karamba Lodge is set within four hectares, with a garden and fruit trees
Solar lighting & charging facilities are in place.
Meals are locally sourced, fish & rice is the staple diet. Let us know if you are vegetarian.
They will be served outdoors on the veranda overlooking the garden.
The week long retreat will run from Monday to Sunday, with Wednesday afternoon free.
We will plan an outing for those that wish to participate. ie; pirogue trip to the islands
How to get there:
Arrival is recommended Saturday or Sunday, as flights arrive at 01.00hrs, so an overnight stay in the Gambia will be necessary. We can organise this and airport transfers as required, at extra cost.
Visas are not required by British nationals.

Basic week all inclusive: 3 meals daily plus complete Yoga programme.

Schedule:
The yoga sessions will be held on our roof terrace surrounded by tree tops and birdsong.
There will be a morning and an afternoon practice, which will encompass all levels. Within the practice there will be meditation, breath awareness, asanas & relaxation.
Yoga practice:
8.0 -8.30. Meditation
8.30-9.30 Yoga Asanas
9.30 Breakfast / Free time
14.00. Lunch
16.00-17.30 Yoga practice
19.30. Dinner
About :
We are located in the Casamance region of Senegal aprox 2 hrs south of Banjul airport.
We are 15-20 minutes walk through the bush to the ocean and 20 minutes walk into Kafountine village.
Malika & Chico started their project in 1998 with a Music School in Kafountine, which opened up a lot of doors for both musicians & students alike in the UK over the years
They then went on to concentrate on the land and fruit trees have been extensively planted, followed by garden, veggies and animals .
The teacher:
The Yoga session will be hosted by Beatrice Blot who has been teaching for the last 15 years . She has a down to earth approach to teaching and sees each student's needs within the practice. Feel free to visit her website
